Man already camping out for fireworks night

Windsor, ON – Kevin Connolly, aged 42, of Windsor has already selected his spot for this year’s annual fireworks display over the Detroit River. “Every year I go to the fireworks and every year I think I could have gotten a little closer to the action so I decided this was going to be the year that I would get the best possible spot” Connolly said as he set-up his tent on the riverfront on Wednesday.

90s bar band guy making a comeback

Windsor, ON – After several years as a musical recluse a veteran of such bars as California’s, The Village Inn and Penrods, Garry Donaldson, 51, of Windsor, Ontario announced his intentions this week to return to the local music scene and start a new band. “I think it’s time I got out there and performed again.  The Rock God of Windsor is returning” Donaldson announced on his Facebook page this week.

Former Zellers mascot homeless and living on Windsor streets

Windsor, ON – Zeddy, the lovable mascot employed by Zellers Department Stores has turned up in Windsor, Ontario and is now homeless after being unemployed the last four years.  “It started to go bad right after the last Zellers store closed in 2013.  I started drinking, my wife left me and I kept spiraling downward” said Zeddy during a recent chat on Wyandotte Street East.

Father requests trade from family game night team

Windsor, ON – Scott Brooks, a married father of four has officially requested a trade from his family game night team.   Every Thursday evening Brooks along with his wife, two sons and two daughters spend quality time playing a card or board game together but after two years of never winning a game Mr. Brooks announced that he wanted off of his current team.
