Proposal for Ouellette Avenue to be renamed The Big O
Windsor, ON – Windsor city council member Frank Edwards will be unveiling a plan at this week’s city council meeting to rename Ouellette Avenue to a new name that he believes will be a tourist draw, The Big O. “I think it is in the best interest of the city to rename Ouellette” stated Mr. Edwards at a press conference on Friday.

Trump supporters visiting Windsor like the “moat” at the border
Windsor, ON – A group of Donald Trump supporters left Cleveland, Ohio and the Republican National Convention to visit Windsor on Wednesday evening for some site-seeing. Caleb Danzig of Charlotte, North Carolina commented “I really appreciate all the hard work that must have gone into building this fantastic moat between the United States and Canada” while looking at the Detroit River.

Drive-thru customer believes he is cursed
Windsor, ON – Troy Martin of Windsor, Ontario believes he is cursed when it comes to fast food restaurants with two-lane drive-thru choices. “I never guess correctly” he says, “there could be 5 cars in one lane and 1 car in the next lane and I’ll pick the lane with 1 car and be waiting forever! 4 out of the 5 cars in the other lane will pass by me before my order is even taken. It is very frustrating”.

Windsor man mauled by tiger while playing Pokémon Go
Detroit, MI – A self-described “extreme-gamer” was mauled by a tiger at the Detroit Zoo on Monday while playing the latest internet craze Pokémon Go.
Pokémon Go uses your phone’s GPS and clock to detect where and when you are in the game and make Pokémon “appear” around you (on your phone screen) so you can go and catch them. As you move around, different and more types of Pokémon will appear depending on where you are and what time it is. The idea is to encourage you to travel around the real world to catch Pokémon in the game but it has had some unintended side-effects for gamers who are not accustomed to the realities of everyday life.
