Man already camping out for fireworks night

Windsor, ON – Kevin Connolly, aged 42, of Windsor has already selected his spot for this year’s annual fireworks display over the Detroit River. “Every year I go to the fireworks and every year I think I could have gotten a little closer to the action so I decided this was going to be the year that I would get the best possible spot” Connolly said as he set-up his tent on the riverfront on Wednesday.

“I’ve taken a three-month leave of absence from my job and my wife and kids are going to visit regularly so I think I’ve got all my bases covered until the big night” Connolly advised while reminiscing about past fireworks nights “I usually set-up the day before or two days before but I was never quite happy with my spot. This year that all changes and I will have the best viewing location of my life to watch the fireworks.  It is going to be the best 45 minutes ever!”

The annual Ford Fireworks Display is scheduled for Monday, June 26, 2017.   Connolly did mention a concern about the long, long, long range weather forecast “I sure hope it doesn’t rain that night because I’ve got plans on June 27th”.
