Windsor, ON – Daniel Kearn, age 36, of Windsor was waiting nervously in his car while picking up a burger at a drive-thru window this past Saturday evening concerned that the dreaded “can you please pull around to the front” request was coming when his worst fears were realized.
Mr. Kearn recounted the experience exclusively for What’s Up Windsor. “The drive-thru line was moving way too fast and I knew there was going to be trouble. There wasn’t enough time between when I had made a special request to my order and then for my order to be ready at the pick-up window. I asked for no pickles on my quarter-pounder and I also ordered a Filet-O-Fish for my girlfriend. I think that was the big mistake. The fish sandwich.”
After a pause to compose himself the fast-food aficionado continued with description of the evening “Then it happened. The server at the window asked me to pull around to the front and they’d bring my order out to me. It was awful. I slowly pulled around to the front of the restaurant and put my car in park and waited and waited and waited. Finally after what must have been 7 or 8 minutes they brought the food out to my vehicle. It was an agonizing ordeal but I survived and got home with my take-out. I like to think I am better man today for my display of courage of perseverance for surviving this experience.”
