Windsor, ON – Mother’s Day took a disturbing turn this year in the Riverside area when local Mom, Mary-Anne Jacobs, decided to add raisins to the chocolate chip cookies she baked on Sunday morning. “I thought I’d add something healthy to the recipe” was her reasoning before serving the baked goods.
Mrs. Jacobs recipe addition was met with a less than enthusiastic response from her family. Youngest son Simon, age six, had this review of the new cookies “My God it is like eating a bug. What the f##k was she thinking? I spent two hours at school on Friday making a Mother’s Day card out of construction paper, sparkles, glue and macaroni pieces. I’d be better off eating the glue! She’s my Mom and all but seriously the woman needs help. Who does this kind of thing to their own children?”
As of press time Mrs. Jacobs was reconsidering her plan to introduce vegetable lasagna as the planned meal for dinner on Monday evening.
