Coles Notes reference confuses co-workers

Windsor, ON – On a recent Zoom video-conference call with his co-workers Kyle Brooks, age 58, of Windsor attempted to make what he thought was a clever reference to Coles Notes which seemed to baffle his younger colleagues.

Mr. Brooks was confused himself when no one laughed at his comment “How can they not know about Coles Notes?” he asked after the call ended.   Adding “Sure I know they’re aren’t very many Coles book stores left but come on, someone should have understood my reference.  Don’t they use Coles Notes in school anymore?  After I made the joke I had to explain what Coles Notes was and that took like 15 minutes which extended the meeting.  So needless to say after that no one really thought it was all that funny.”

Feeling somewhat out of touch Mr. Brooks has vowed to get a laugh out of his co-workers on next week’s call “Just wait until next week.  I’m going to do my Fonzie impression from Happy Days that will get a big laugh I just know it.”
