Windsor, ON – Local backyard pool enthusiast Mike Williams was giddy with excitement this week as he told friends and family that the Prime Minister had called for all Canadians to head to their pools on Monday, September 20th. “We’ve been through a lot with this pandemic stuff and I think it is great that the Prime Minister has called for a national pool day” Mr. Williams explained to media members gathered on his front lawn.
Mr. Williams continued “People say the government doesn’t do enough for the little guy but here we have this fantastic idea where we can all take a day and enjoy our swimming pools one more time before the end of the summer it is really something to look forward to. I’m going to get some beers, fire up the barbeque and make this day something special!”
As of press time Mr. Williams’ family were debating about whether or not to tell him that Canadians are actually going to the polls on September 20th to vote in the federal election or to just let him go ahead and have his pool party next month.
