Windsor, ON – Windsor City Councilman Frank Edwards has come up with what he describes as the perfect solution to the controversy over the Pelissier Street parking garage. “I’m putting forward a proposal to move the parking garage over to the Windsor Family Credit Union Centre parking lot. Brick by brick, spot by spot, we’ll move the entire garage over to the WFCU Centre” said a beaming councilman on Thursday.
“I can’t believe no one has thought of this sooner. It makes perfect sense. People have been complaining about a lack of parking at the WFCU Centre since it opened so we’re killing two birds with one stone” Mr. Edwards excitedly explained during his press briefing.
The councilman went on to say that he hopes to get approval to move the Pelissier Street structure before the FINA Swimming Championships conclude “I’d like to have a ground-breaking ceremony and thought we could give Michael Phelps a giant bottle of champagne and ask him be our guest of honour and have him open the champagne as we put our shovels in the ground. I mean this is what Windsor is all about, parking and over-sized bottles of alcohol”.
