Windsor, ON – An operation is underway in an effort to rescue Arms Bumanlag who has been trapped on the rooftop of the CTV-Bell Building giving weather reports for the last several years. CTV News Windsor moved to the building at the end of 2013 and weather reporter Arms Bumanlag has been trapped on the roof forced to update the viewing audience on the daily weather situation for the better part of three years now.
Rescuers have brought along rope, grappling hooks and an extremely long ladder thinking they may be able finally bring the popular media personality back to civilization. “Arms has been on that rooftop for five polar vortexes and eighteen heat advisories in the last 12 months alone, we have to do our best to save him” said Chief Rescue Officer David Schultz. “We decided we had to try and get him off of the roof before the weather gets any hotter this week” Schultz added.
A crowd of well-wishers has gathered at the building waiting to greet Arms after his rescue and to also get an update on traffic and weather in the Windsor area.
