Windsor, ON – A large number of people attending the Friday evening concert at this weekend’s Fork & Cork Festival missed the entire performance of headlining acts Sloan and Pop Evil as they were too busy videoing the show on their cell phones.
Eye-witnesses report that several concert goers spent the night holding their phones over their heads attempting to get the best angle for filming. When asked later by reporters if she enjoyed the show Leanne Davies of Windsor said “I actually didn’t hear any of the music I was too busy concentrating on getting the zoom function on my iPhone to work”.
Another self-described music lover, Dianne Simpson of Leamington, advised “I didn’t get to enjoy the show while I was there tonight but I can’t wait to watch it back on my phone next week sometime”. She added “My neck is kind of sore from holding my phone up for 3 hours so I might not get to see the concert until I am feeling better but I love music so much I am really looking forward to seeing Sloan and Pop Evil on Monday or Tuesday”.
