Windsor, ON – Dr. David Octavius of Windsor, who has been featured in several recent CIBC mortgage commercials, was charged this week for completing and billing for several unnecessary prostate exams on penguins.

Dr. Octavius has been completing the exams weekly on several different penguins and subsequently billing OHIP for each visit over the last six months. When the exams were reviewed by an independent third-party medical board it became apparent that none of the penguins actually needed the exam. It was also noted during the review that none of the penguins had reported a previous history or any symptoms whatsoever that were related to a prostate problem.

Said patient Edward L. Penguin “I feel absolutely violated. I put my trust in Dr. Octavius and he even made light of the exam itself when he put the latex glove on. I’m absolutely humiliated to learn the exam wasn’t even necessary”.

Dr. Octavius could not be reached for comment. His licence to exam penguins has been suspended pending a full medical and judicial board review.
