The city is now looking for a qualified seamstress with a really long ladder to assist with upkeep on the flag.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>City Councilman Frank Edwards noted that there is a maintenance trust in place of $100,000 but he thinks having a seamstress with a ladder standing by will be necessary to maintain the appearance of the flag.\u00a0 &#8220;I&#8217;m sure there are a lot of qualified people in Windsor who can do the repairs the problem is finding one with a really long ladder&#8221; said Edwards.<\/p>\n<p>The flag is part\u00a0Great Canadian Flag Project and has been in place since May of this year.\u00a0\u00a0 Edwards noted that the city has already received a four-foot-long needle and thread kit from the Great Canadian Sewing Project so they can proceed with repairs on the flag as necessary.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Windsor, ON &#8211; Windsor&#8217;s giant Canadian flag at the riverfront has suffered some wear and tear in it&#8217;s first two months in place and as a result some repairs are needed.
