Windsor, ON –\u00a0 It has been an agonizing one-year wait but local hockey fanatic Derek Simms, age 18, of Windsor couldn\u2019t be happier that his favourite team, the Seattle Kraken, have reached the second round of the NHL playoffs this year.\u00a0\u00a0 Derek could not contain his excitement on Tuesday evening after Seattle took the first game of round two from the Dallas Stars \u201cYou have no idea how long I have waited for the Kraken to get out of the first round.\u00a0 It feels like a lifetime and now we\u2019re up a game in round two!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Seattle\u2019s hockey team was an expansion team that began play in the 2021-2022 season and this year marks their first ever playoff appearance.\u00a0\u00a0 Mr. Simms commented further \u201cI\u2019ve been a fan since day one.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t just jump on the bandwagon this year.\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019ve followed them from the very beginning\u2026 October, 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about his team\u2019s chances of winning the Stanley Cup Mr. Simms had an enthusiastic response \u201cI think we can do it.\u00a0\u00a0 We\u2019ve been through so much over the last year and we\u2019ve been waiting so long for playoff success.\u00a0 Name me one team that it deserves it more than Seattle.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think you can.\u00a0 Seattle all the way!\u00a0 Go Kraken Go!!\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
