Windsor, ON \u2013 A long overdue home improvement project ran into delays ahead of the long weekend when homeowner Mark Buchman, age 35, of Windsor turned on his television and discovered a Mission Impossible movie marathon playing.\u00a0 \u201cI swear I was just going to put the TV on as background noise and suddenly six hours went by\u201d Mr. Buchman said as he sat with his feet up on the living room coffee table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Mr. Buchman continued his explanation to anyone who would listen \u201cMy wife went to visit her sister for the long weekend and I took Friday off to get a head start on the painting.\u00a0\u00a0 I told her to go off and have a good time and I\u2019d have the living room finished by the time she got back.\u00a0 I was about halfway thru the first coat of paint when I turned on the TV.\u00a0\u00a0 I don\u2019t know what it is about these movies but when I see Tom Cruise and all the stunts I get drawn in and lose track of time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about the project\u2019s completion Mr. Buchman replied \u201cI\u2019m going to get it done by Sunday, Monday at the latest.\u00a0 For sure.\u00a0 No more excuses.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 On-lookers were skeptical of Mr. Buchman\u2019s ability to finish the project as there is a Fast and the Furious movie marathon scheduled for broadcast over the rest of the long weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
