When someone asks what is the population of Lille, France?\u00a0\u00a0 I just make something up and say 140,000 people live in Lille.\u00a0 Nobody ever fact-checks me.\u00a0 I\u2019m a smartphone I must be right\u201d Dan explained to the gathered media.<\/p>\n<p>Dan the Smartphone\u2019s web of lies started to unravel last weekend when he was asked \u2018Who starred in the Godfather?\u2019 and he provided the wrong answer. \u201cI was tired and I just couldn\u2019t remember.\u00a0 It was like three o\u2019clock in the morning.\u00a0\u00a0 Who is asking their phone trivia questions at three in the morning?\u00a0 So I said Ray Liotta.\u00a0\u00a0 I knew right away I was wrong.\u00a0 I was thinking Goodfellas not Godfather and I got caught\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Dan has issued an apology for all the misinformation he has given out and is retiring from the smartphone profession.\u00a0\u00a0 When asked about his future employment plans Dan replied \u201cI\u2019ve got something lined up working in politics\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Windsor, ON \u2013 A local smartphone revealed on Friday that he isn\u2019t actually all that smart.
